Bridgeport Middle School follows Ohio's Learning Standards. These standards provide our teachers with “clear and rigorous expectations for all students.” They describe what all students should know and be able to do at each grade level. Our teachers strive to provide rich, educational opportunities for students using a variety of research based resources including textbooks, supplemental materials, technology, and manipulatives. Teachers assess for mastery with a variety of formative and summative assessments, as well as, state assessments. With the use of assessments, teachers evaluate mastery of learning and adjust their curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.

These standards emphasize the ability to collaborate, communicate, and tackle challenges. They will help your child gain the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they need to succeed in college, in their careers, and in life.
