David Wiselka is the kind of student every educator, coach, or mentor loves to have the opportunity to instruct. As a student, David sets the highest possible goals for himself and does not stop working until he achieves them. He truly surpasses any expectations a teacher has established for him. When asked to complete a task, David will fulfill the expectations and continue working because he wants to get more practice. David is a student who meticulously completes every task asked of him, checks it over himself and then asks a teacher to check it over because he refuses to turn anything in that is less than perfection. Let’s not disregard the fact that none of this comes easy for David. Despite all the challenges David faces, he thrives academically, carrying a 3.8 Cumulative GPA. David does not allow anything to hold him back from being the best student possible!

David is also a student athlete participating in cross country and track. His cross country coach describes him as hard-working, dedicated, driven and self-motivated. He said, “David is willing to put in extra efforts to improve himself and is a pleasure to coach.” Often, David wakes up early each morning and trains by running long distances because the training he receives at track practice simply isn’t enough to satisfy his appetite for success.
