Bridgeport Village Council recently held a Halloween "Spooky Drawing" Contest for all students in the school district grades K-7.

3rd Grade Students Read to Preschool
3rd Grade Students Visit West Liberty University's Learning Lab
3rd Grade Students Collaborated with the High School Exercise Science Class

Miss Murad’s 3rd grade students collaborated with high school students in the Exercise Science class.  They shared ideas on how to stay healthy.  The third grade presented their research about human body systems to the high school students. The high school students in turn presented the elementary students with fitness activities.

Miss Murad’s Class Partnered with the Cafeteria Staff
 
Miss Murad’s 3rd grade class coordinated with the cafeteria staff to do a writing activity. Students had been practicing sequential writing in the classroom, so they took notes while they watched how to make a grill cheese sandwich. They used their notes to write the first page of their recipe book.
Mrs. Liston’s Students Solved the 100th Day Mystery
 
 
 
Mrs. Liston’s 1st grade students solved the 100th day mystery. They found a box from Zero the Hero who left them secret agent disguises.
Miss Goff’s 100th Day Celebration

Miss Goff's 2nd Grade class celebrated the 100th day of school by inviting families to complete STEM activities with their children.  The activities included building a marshmallow launcher and trying to hit a target within 100 seconds, using 100 fingerprints to create a habitat scene, and completing 100 exercises along with reading fact cards about the number 100 while resting between exercises. They had a great day!

4th Grade Students Share Vocabulary Poems

Fourth graders wrote vocabulary poems using the following PBIS Words: Safe, Kind and Responsible

4th Grade Students Present ELA Projects
4th Grade students completed Think-Tac-Toe Boards after finishing the novel, Shiloh. The students chose three of the nine mini-projects to complete on the board to make tic-tac-toe. Once completed, the students presented their choices to the class. One of the choices on the board was "My Choice" where students proposed their own project to exhibit their learning. The students took great pride and completed amazing work!
