5th Grade Students Share Acrostic Poems
 
5th Grade students in Mrs. Albaugh and Ms. Glynn's class recently shared the acrostic poems they wrote honoring veterans. 
Students Attend Science Camp
 
Over the summer, Madison and Jaylese attended the BWISER (Buckeye Women in Science, Engineering and Research Institute) science camp at the College of Wooster in Ohio.  This camp is a hands-on, week long residential experience in a state-of-the-art facility with teachers from all over the state.  At camp, the teachers worked to promote the interest of young women in various science fields.  During the day, the young women experienced a full laboratory experience in classes, such as, chemistry, LEGO robotics, physics, model-robotics, biology, and geology.  In the evenings, the girls participated in activities led by prominent scientists. 
 
Annual Bridgeport Village Halloween Drawing Contest Winners
 
 
The ANNUAL BRIDGEPORT VILLAGE HALLOWEEN DRAWING CONTEST sponsored by the Bridgeport Park Board in conjunction with Bridgeport Schools was recently held.  The contest is open to students of grades K-7. Cash prizes and ribbons are awarded.  Artwork is displayed at the Brookside Dairy Queen (all winners), others at Riesbeck's, Wendy's, Big Lots and all Bridgeport banks through Halloween.  The Bridgeport Recreation Committee is headed by Mrs. Norma Teasdale and volunteer Carole Lyle. Darry Wuekeson, art specialist K-7 co-ordinated the project.

Winners of the Halloween Costume Contest
Students Introduced to Jon Gordon's Book, The Positive Dog
The Book, The Positive Dog by Jon Gordon was introduced to all students.  Over the 2nd Nine Weeks, the book will be read and discussed by all teachers and students.  Further activities and discussions will take place on Character Days.

Students enjoyed the 1st Nine Week Behavior Bash - Basketball, Volleyball, Musical Chairs, Cornhole, and Mummy Toilet Paper games.
